Guys, not shown before but here is a UK spec 430 Avantgarde. 2000 model. Only mods being the Kleemann shocks, springs and wheels. Need some Brembo's next and then that SC.

In the UK we do not get the same body kit as the US spec cars!

Here is also a W209 Kleemann CLK 500....508hp I believe....perhaps next tme

Don't get me wrong, I love my W208... but this view/angle of the W209 doesn't look bad... I guess, as long as you leave the back-end of the car out of the picture, the car looks pretty clean.

Thanks Danny but I have moved the pics to a new FTP site as we have been having trouble with the existing for some time now .

Would like some suggestions on a good free site to use however!!

Thank you.

I disagree mmgrad I think it looks ugly in the picture you posted. The window sills are too sharp(at the end) it just doesnt look right. The rear spoiler needs to be lower for it to look good. That way it doesnt look as if it is being tipped up like a seesaw. Feel free to flame but this is my opinion.

krisk85, if you checked my original post, i already said, I don't like the whole back section of the car... just that from the rear wheel forward, the car look smore aerodynamic...

And as stated in my original post, I still like my W208 more.

no prob... my intentions weren't to start any flame wars about 208 vs. 209.... and you won't see me trading in my w208 for the w209 either... only trade-up would be to the '02 CLK55..... or at least to a '02 430 Cab... but I'll have to see how that plays out...

what ride do you have?

I dont have a clk It is my dream car. I am trying to work and save enough for one, but being under 25 doesnt help me much because even if I do get enough money I still have the insurance and upkeep. My dad was supposed to get me one in december/january 03/04, but my dad was supposed to do alot of things, so i gave up on him and started saving for my self. I know it isn december/january yet but the way things are looking, doesnt look like he will get one for me.

You can find a used 97 or 98 CLK320 Coupe at a reasonable price. Look around you may find 1 you can afford easier than you thought.

Sorry frank, your right i dont know why i said 97. I was just trying to think of an older one so it can be a little cheaper.

Krisk85- Oh, I guess things are alot different over there. Dont worry though, if u want one bad enough, you'll get one one day.

Oh yeah, its almost $4,000, and I'm not even the listed primary driver for the CLK. From the family plan i'm in, I'm listed as the secondary driver (10%) for my sister's '97 Accord 4 cyl sedan... hows about that?

You can get a used one here for probably around $30K (98 clk320)... I'm not sure about australia (is that where you from?), but if the steering wheel is on the same side... why don't you get a used one from the states and import it back home?

The steering is on the opposite side And im not quite sure what exact prices are in Europe. I do know that a container costs $5,000 AUD or $2,500USD from Britain to Australia. And yes i am from australia.
