I bet if you smack it a couple times with a hammer, it'll come off. I believe it's made of plastic. If you're worried about damaging your rotor, ask the mechanic if you can watch him R&R your rotors next time.

Yeah, mine look all rusted and seem like metal but one day, one of them cracked and it turns out they were plastic. By the way, the hammer method is only recommended if you don't plan on using those again. If you might, try a really thin flat head and use it like a chissel. Mine were stuck as well, (I have a real short temper) I smacked it with the crowbar.

I would smack it. You don't have to hit it that hard and try to hit it from the side.

Try spray some WD40 on the center of the ring and wait for a few min. then just pry it out with a screw driver, it should work

Rubber mallet.......Beat it like it owes you money!!!
I have H&R hubcentric spacers and just like the wheels they get stuck under all that pressure. You may need to drive a wedge between the rotor and the ring. Use a sharp chisel. It's highly unlikely that there is any adhesive holding it as that would be totally unnecessary.

Sounds like the bolts are too long.
