CD Changer weirdness

All of a sudden today, it starts to randomly say "NO CD 1" even though there is and music was just playing a minute ago. Then it spread to the other slots, until it said "No CD Changer". I played with it a little and I could still listen to CD's in one or two slots, but real spotty.

I wanted to know if maybe a new cartridge would do the trick or is it more complicated than that and the whole CD Changer is going to crap?

things with and without wheels
try spraying that co2 stuff that you use to clean keyboards. Sounds like there is some dust buildup in the cd changer's sensor beam.

yep , put the little tube on the nozzle so you can get in there deeper and try to aim it at the sensor beam.

check old threads cuz I've made a few with this exact issue. It's not the CD changer or the magazine. I have two of each and still have the same problem. It's something with the wiring not dust build up (except for the fact that if plays spotty, that might be due to dust.) What I have come to realize is this:

1. When you start your car and its on radio, wait about 30-60 secs before pressing CD.

2. Don't switch from CD to Radio quickly. If you do, give it time and then go back. I havent had NO CD CHANGER problem for quite a while until my magazine got jammed!

My CD changer has been jammed for about a week now. This is not the first time this has happened, but it is the longest. In the past I have been able to get the CD magazine out by pushing the eject button and pressing on the magazine itself, but it is not working this time around. Anyone else?
