Oh Damn!

My Check engine light just came on and i pulled these codes out...
P0141, P0136, 0170-022, and P0173-133
If anyone can help me out with what these codes mean it'll help alot. So far I'm sure one of these is a MAF... I hope the bill won't be too bad.
Thanks

-Greg

Looks like you have a problem with your cats and/or O2 sensors as well.

MAF you can fix in 10 minutes.

O2 sensors you can easily fix as well. They might be covered under your emissions warranty. If not, don't waste your money buying the O2 sensors from Mercedes - buy a universal bosch sensor and retrofit your OEM connector to it. If it's your cats and they don't end up being covered, upgrade to some high flow cats (High flow = $150 or so apiece, OEM replacement over 1K)

Do high flow cats provide any noticable HP advantages (both when combined with a stock muffler and with something like an eisenmann)? Why not just delete the cats alltogether?

They do but with this car you would need a custom chip to maximize your gain.

The shop would be fined something like $3000 if caught.

I finally found out what the problems are and here they are...
1)Faulty MAF sensor
2)Faulty Right side oxygen sensor after cat. converter
3)Faulty passenger side seat ocupation sensor
4)and i also gotta change the air filter too

I know how the change the air filter and MAF not too sure about the rest. If anyone has any idea, help me out PLEASE!!! any chance anyone knows if these repairs can be DIY and how much all this is going to cost? THanks

What kind of gains are you looking at without any chip? Would it make an oxygen sensor go off?

For #2, you just need to get your car up on a lift (or rhino ramps if you have them), locate your catalytic converter and find the wire going into the piping just afte rthe Cat. From my understanding it should snap out when you squeeze and pull. Replace the O2 sensor, put it back together. It should be an easy DIY, but note that this advice is just from how ive heard the proceedure discussed before, you may want to verify with someone else.
