Kids fit fine back there but you'll have to move your seat up quite a bit if you're over 5' 6". I'm 6 foot and it's tight for me when they're back there.
They don't like it because they can't see out since the seats are a bit low and if they're under 8 their legs probably won't reach over the edge of the seat and will stick straight out. Mine hate it compared to my IS300 since "the windows don't open" (I have a coupe).
Key to success is monitors is the headrests...
