Washer Fluid Ingredients?
I don't like the blue gunk that commercial fluids leave behind under the hood! Anybody know what to put in washer fluid and in what proportion?
I would guess that water + a little car wash detergent + 10% Isopropyl Alcohol would work quite well. But I would like to know what the frezzing point would be with various levels of Alcohol and if there is a chance to damage anything on the car. Neat Isopropyl Alcohol can be used as a solvent for some epoxies and I guess the above mix would strip wax pretty well so any feedback wpuld be appreciated.
Any Chemist's out there?

Go to your Benz dealer and get a bottle of concentrated washer solvent. Fill the reservoir with water and dump the solvent in. By the way, don't dump the solvent in and then add water, or you'll have the soap suds from hell.
