What up guys,
My name is Omid and I own an '02 CLK430. I recently purchased the Lorinser LM5 style wheels 19x8.5 with 235/45ZR19 tires. I have yet to put them on however. I live in the DC area, and was waiting for the winter to be over before I installed them. I was just wondering if I should get spacers (if so, what kind and what specs?) or if I should just cut my bolts shorter. I was told I could do either or, however wanted to take the correct route instead of just guessing. The wheel states it has an offset of ET38, but everytime I look for spacers online they come in sizes like 40mm. Does ET38 mean that I need 38mm ? If I were to get spacers, what size do you recommend? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks guys!

ANYBODY SOMEBODY ANYBODY SOMEBODY ANYBODY
Please help me !
I took my car to have all 4 wheels and tires put on and it was a DISASTER ! I took them to my local Mercedes Benz dealership here in the DC area to have them "professionally" installed while I took my baby in for its Service "A". I figured, why not have them just fix em up for me, since they afterall will know the specs and everything.......
WELL.... believe it or not, they installed all 4 and they looked beautiful. HOWEVER... on the way home both of my front tires went flat because they were rubbing ! WHAT IDOTS !!!!!!!!!!
To make a long story short, they paid for the towing, had my old wheels and tires put back on, and provided me a rental car during this whole mess. They apologized and simply stated that the vehicle needed spacers and they could not assist me any further.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! I KNOW SOMEONE HERE CAN TELL ME WHAT specs OUR WHEELS HAVE and CAN EXPLAIN WHAT et38 means!!
HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !

if you need spacers why don't you get some 5mm spacers then? i seen some for sale in the classified section on the forum. Either that or exchange the wheels for something in a lower offset et35, et32, etc.

Sorry to hear about your wheels. That really sucks. I STRONGLY suggest you post this to the wheel and tire forum for an informed answer before you permanently damage your vehicle.
