Used to be a CLK430
Really does look like a good deal, I wonder if it's safe to buy from dealers that strictly deal in pre-owned high-end vehicles. Every car my brother and I have been interested in Houston at one of these places has had 'issues'
Just my thoughts...

![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I didnt realize that the 430's came with lumbar support controls. Ive never seen that before, only on the 55s, and i really dont remember that being an option for me? i would have gotten it....

lumbar support is an option...
the CLK55 comes with the lumbar support standard, but is available as an option for the 430.
This is a beautiful car, low low miles, looks to be in good condition. It is fully fully loaded too.
Just one question: What is the little/flat key in this picture?

I only got the 2 SmartKey's with my car....

I just had to share...
As for myself, I just picked up my 2002 CLK430, Opal Black with Oyster interior.
Options included were the basic K3 Package, plus the 6-Disc CD Changer.
The car had just under 10,000 miles on it, and I snagged it for $43,000.
I think that was a very good deal, what do you all think? This ended up costing me less a new CLK320 with the same options.

Extra Key...
The flat key is just the laser-cut part that cranks the car, but without the keyless entry. Im pretty sure that it sets the alarm off every time you use it to unlock the car. At least my car does...

YES
It is a great deal.
It's about 1000 more than I paid for my 430...same year...similar miles (mine had 7000 miles).
Also, this one has the navigation system...mine did not...
I think you got a great deal.

when buying a car in houston, i would seriously SERIOUSLY think twice, trice, and whatever follows that.
Houston is synonymous with floods and heavy downpoor. You may notice lots and lots of highline cars for sale in these two areas (Houston, TX and FL).
Why? Car gets flooded, insurance pays customer to get a new one, and the flooded car gets auctioned off. "But they have clean titles" you say.
Well, this is what they can do. They take this now Salvaged title car out of state, have it inspected, and is then given a clean title cause it runs and passes all emissions. With a clean title, no one knows it is flooded or salvaged. They then can always take the car back into Houston with a clean title.
So, rule of thumb, be cautious of all cars that originate from areas that are known for natural disasters (such as flooding).
just my 2cents
it can also be a good investment to buy a 'flooded' vehicle... but the risk is high, and that is another story in itself.

I agree, Danny. Many high end car sale websites from Miami and south beach have sprouted up in recent years claiming to have excellent deals on 2000+ benz, Bmw, porsches. However, in south florida, there is tons of water damage occurring and these cars get screwed so bad, dealers refuse to take them. What next? The owners or banks sell them to rip off places that exclusively deal w/ internet sales. Realize this, if your car has had flood damage, it doesnt' have to get reported to Carfax. You can probably get a cheap fix up and sell it to a dealer, and the dealer will keep hush about it and not disclose it. There are obvious signs of water damage and there are sites on the web tellling consumers what to look out for. But, be cautious of Miami or Florida online web sales. remember if it's tooooo good to be true, take a minute to think about it and do your research..

Lil Raja,
Danny is on the money, flood cars everywhere. I looked at a 2000 430 with 36K and it was beautiful inside and out until you lifted the floormats, water stains everywhere. I lifted the underpadding and the actual carpet and there was actually leaves and grass in the car!! They were asking something like $38,600 for the car and the guy came down 2K just over the phone...if it's sounds too good to be true, it usually is!
BTW, I am the only Benz driver in a family of Bimmer owners. My Mom has a 5, My Dad has a 7, my brother has 2 M3's, incidentally his certified 1997 is for sale if you know anyone!!

I was wondering how come there were so many highline cars in houston and florida area for significantly cheaper than else where in the usa. So i guess it was too good to be true. I knew it.

heheh. our family, all the siblings have bmws except one and only dad has mercerdes. :-)
