Post Surgery, New Look...

after acquiring all the parts, the long wait is over. I finally had a chance to transform my baby and give it a new look. Keep in mind that there are minor things that the body shop forgot to complete.....the orange sidemarkers were suppose to be painted and the rear bumper is missing the wire mesh. I still need to go have my exhaust installed, hopefully next weekend.

Excuse my terrible photo skills, but I snapped a few quick pictures.
Here is a picture before going under the knife:

The new look:

Thanks. It is the Expression hood, which is fiberglass and accomodates the CL style grill...notice that there is no frame around my grill. I was going to leave it black, but I think I will be painting my roof black in the near future.

I was originally going to go with a Lorinser front bumper and RS sideskirts and RS rear bumper, but was hesitant after all the fitment horror stories I heard. And I really liked the front and rear Lorinser, but unfortunately no other sideskirt flows well with the Lorinser bumpers. That is why I was also thinking of molding the inserts on the sideskirts, but was not sure of how it would turn out. Now I can play with photoshop and see how it would look with no inserts on the sideskirts. If I like the way it turns out, then I will modify it in the future. What do you think of the idea?

love everything about the car, love the lm5's, one of my favourite, if i had to change one thing then it would be the color of the calipers, i think it takes away from the car, just my personal opinion, overall though love it, awesome!

Thanks for the kind words. I originally had silver calipers up front, but they were to subtle. I wanted to do something different with the color of the calipers and I was going to go with white, but then an opportunity came up with the yellow calipers.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't feel that the AMG sideskirts will flow good with the rest of the kit. The AMG skirts do not sit as low as the Lorinser skirts. The fenders are original Lorinser fenders (metal), in reality they are OEM fenders that Lorinser modifies. They are a bit wider than OEM.

Everything was picked up from previous members on this forum, but I can tell you that the kit came from Peter @ wheelexperts for a fact.

Thumbs up

Damn!! that's one sick *** ride. Everything just flows from the hood to the fenders, kit. Those fenders looks way better with the Lorinser side skirts!! Can't wait to see the roof painted. That white just totally stands out.

Congrads!! Awesome setup!! More pics!!!

I agree, the Lorinser Fenders look awesome with the Lorinser Side Skirts. Dunno why but i don't like the way the amg skirts and the Lorinser fenders flow. Nice Job!

I have never been a fan of lorinser kits but coz your car has got the full lorinser treatment, it looks great! And i also agree that the fenders only flow well with the lorinser side skirts!
