Help deciding.
I am getting ready to lower myride. i have a couple of options, the h&r cup kit or the koni shocks with h&r springs or the eibach springs. im looking for a nice clean drop, and am still looking for that smooth ride. i think that the h&r cup kit is too big of a drop but im not sure. so if you guys have could help me out it would be great
Ps. ive got a 02 clk320, bought 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 adr m-classics havent put em on yet though.

I dont have the setup myself but i have seen the koni/H&R setup and I like...
I guess it all comes down to the thickness of the pads you use that will help determine the total drop that will happen.

I have the HR Cup Kit, very aggressive look and drive. You will feel the road. But the cornering and handling is very good. I have 18' on my car with low profile tires, so each bump is felt. With 19' you will definately have a rough ride.

im really leaning towards the koni shocks and the H&R springs. the cup kits is too big of a drop. but am intrested in looking into the bilsten shocks if anybody has experience or info on them.

The ride on 19's is smooth as long as your on a smooth surface... here in NYC. There is no such road hence there is no such thing as a smooth ride...
19's handle small bumps in the road adequately but it gets rough with a choppier road.

Ive have the hr springs and bilstein sport shocks with 20x8.5 up front and 20x9.5 in the back and still have a pretty good ride i recommend this application also keep in mind you can adjust your ride height by using shims from the dealership for your springs.

I am looking at lowering my CLK430 as well.
Do you really need to change the struts as well or can I just get the H&R springs and put them on the stock struts?
Between new wheels, tires and suspension... this is going to add up and I would like to ease into it a little bit.
