Speakers Not Under Warranty?!?!?!?
guys,
please tell me that our speakers are covered under warranty. and when i say warranty, i mean the extended warrany you can purchase after the original 5 year / 50,000 miles all cars have.
senerio :
have not modified stereo system - all factory - and the right front lower speaker blew out on me.
the mb dealership says that the extended warranty doesnt cover this because im at 52K miles and the original only covers until 50k.
hes sayin it will be $350 to repair this.
someone please advise to i can stick it to these *****es.
thank you kindly

depends on what type of extended warranty you have. if it is a star-mark warranty, or your car is "certified pre-owned", I know for a fact that the dealership will change our your blown speaker.
If you have a non-mercedes warranty, I really doubt the warranty company will cover any speakers.

thank you for the reply. i just found out that it is an aftermarket warranty called "Warrantech" ; i dont know if anyone has ever heard of them, but they stated that the radio is covered under warranty, but the speakers arnt.
the dealership wants to charge me $350 to replace the lower front right speaker, but im thinking it would probably be better to have it done aftermarket by a stereo professional but i dont know what to do now....
i know we have bose speakers, and would like to keep everything "bose", but for $350 im thinkin i could replace all the speakers.....
can anyone advise ? any stereo experts out there???
