De-blingafied grill

I've developed an OCD hatred of chrome. Went all black metallic on my grills *** and did my window trims and rear plate holder too. Only think left is the rear trunk emblem but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to pull it. Needlenose pliers wont fit in there. Anyone ever pull that emblem (Josh, I know you did?)

The guy who normally does my paintwork mixed me up some black with very subdued chrome flake and I shot it with my gun, then 2 coats of clearcoat with flex added.

Not to feed your OCD - but...

How about the chrome along the top edge of your door pulls - a little brilliant silver paint shot might compliment the monochrome/no-chrome look, and

Gunmetal powdercoat your exhaust tips (even though I don't remember if they're even chromed out or not...)

Next you'll be joining the black-rim club.

Your ride is sharp man.

Yes Yes!!! Those door pulls gotta go and I have the Eisenmann pipes back there sticking out like a sore thumb, good call.

Quite frankly, compared to your ride, I might as well be driving a Toyota Tercel.

I had to replace my rear trunk emblem one day cause it broke and when I bought a new one, i saw that it was basically mounted on the car by three little stubby things which you basically push into three tight fittin holes which keep the emblem in place... I believe if you take out your grey matting from the interior side of the trunk lid, it will expose those three holes and u should be able to push the trunk emblem out from the inside part of the trunk (using a pen or something round) without fear of damaging the paint on the trunk's exterior.

Good luck and hopefully I make sense.

Yeah, it makes sense because I was already in there, just couldn't figure a way to pull the little bugger, thanks.

Looks clean....I wanted to have my window trim retouched/replaced? Is this something I can do or should I trust this to a paint shop?? With me---probably the paint shop!

I pulled out the rear emblem once, but it broke haha. You gotta be real careful. It has three prongs that stick into the truck. I would suggest some kind of string technique...pull evenly from each of the three points.

I'm pretty sure the emblem is designed to never be pulled. I don't see how you can get it off without breaking it. A new one costs $19 at the dealer. Just get a new one and pry the old one out with a razer blade. Thats what I did.

It's the old electric tape trick. Trust me, you can do it. It looks like factory finish and is easy to apply. Just use a sharp X-acto knife, scissors and a thin plastic stick( I used the red cheese spreader from a Cheeze & Crackers pkg. lol) to fold the bottom portion in.

No bro, that's just the reflection from the mirror housing. Looks weird though.
