Keyless Entry Problems

OK, so about a month ago my batteries died in my fob. No biggie I ran right over to Greenway Mercedes and dropped a $20, problem solved ( or so I thought ). Then a week later my batteries went dead again. I went beck to the dealership and asked them to change out the batteries I had just bought because I thought that they might be deffective, they complied. So this time when I left the dealership I thought for sure that the problem was taken care of, not quite. So 2 weeks after that the batteries died again This time I went into the dealership and asked them what the problem was. They told me that my batteries were dead I told them that there has to be another problem because I've had the batteries replaced by then twice already in the last month and they keep going dead. The guy was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He replaced my batteries again and they died a week later. The weirdest thing is EVERY time I put new batteries in it, the fob works perfectly. And everytime I put new batteries in it they die in less that 2 weeks.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a way to fix this or do I need to get another key from Mercedes?

Any feedback at all is appreciated guys.

Mine lasts for a couple months then they start to lose power little by little but not a week or 2 later. The distance of the remote power sucks anways..POS OEM alarm. I dont know if that helps but you can try another key and use your chip or whatever they call it and see how that works out..good luck man.

Well when it works, it works perfectly ( from like 100 feet away), but it dies very quickly
