Problems Starting
my warrenty has ended and the problems have started. my cd changer has stopped working it keeps saying that the magazine is empty. ive searched on the forums and tried the things except unplugging the cd changer.
My next problem, would be when i rev the car in park or nuetral i hear this rattling noise coming from under the car. im guessin its the catylac converter.
Please people with similar problems that have fixed them help me outtt.

For you CD changer. Get a CD lens cleaner. It should do the job, I'm almost 100% sure that will fix that problem.
If you need to replace your cat, don't go to the stealership to do it. Just get a race cat. It'll be much more cost effective.

Check with the dealer on the cats. The emission systems have a different warranty period mandated by federal law that is longer than the warranty on the rest of the car.

Just try any CD lens cleaner you can find at Tower Records. You're only out like $10 if it doesn't work. It worked for me on mulitiple cars.

I'll bet you anything that the shaking/rattling isn't your cat. Have you changed your engine and transmission mounts yet?

no i have not changed my mounts yet. it sounds like a can is stuck underneath the car and just keeps rumbling when i am stopped at a stopped at a red light or when i turn the car on.

Check with the dealer about your CAT. I just had mine replaced under warranty and I have 73K on my car. Good luck, keep us posted.

norcal55, how did you know it was catylac converter was your car also making a rattling noise when your parked.
ive tried everything with the cd changer i have nothing left. i uplugged it left it over night. put a cd cleaner in it still doesnt work if anybodys got any ideas please help me out.
