is it a good idea to change your own oil my buddy has an audi and he was saying that you have to get your computer reset

if you've never changed the oil in a mercedes, dont do it. It's not the same as other cars. If youve never changed oil period, definatly don't do it. Take it to a tire place or something and they'll do it for $50

I agree with Ninja, if you haven't done it before, then don't.

I watched my mechanic change mine last time and Nothing was the same as I expected it to be.

Even the oil was unfamiliar to me...... 0W-40 ( I've never even heard of it before, but it was required be Mercedes to cover the warranty here in Houston) Be prepared the cost of an oil change might be more than $50

I know each Quart was $5.67 ( I priced them at Autozone) and these things use 8.5 quarts.

5.67 x 9 = $51.03 + tax
Plus the cost of the filter and labor

well ill just go ahead and let the pros do it as for oil im using royal purple expensive stuff now as for transmission oil what is the best kind not so much brand to use
