A good bodyshop in the SF Bay Area?
I'm a newbie here so bear with me.
Bad news. My CLK320 got rear-ended yesterday and I am totally upset by it.
Good news. Its not my fault and I am going to take this opportunity to upgrade my bumpers (front and back). I'm looking at Lorinser after market kits.
Q1: Anyone know a good bodyshop in the San Francisco Bay Area that can help me do this? And work with the insurance agency?
Q2: What is a good brand of after-market stuff for CLKs (apart from Lorinser) that I can get locally.

sorry about the accident, though you feel its an opportunity to upgrade or change stuff, its never good to get in an accident.
and FYI, as for getting lorinser, brabus or whatnot to replace your damaged bumper, good luck. if the place is legit, and depending on your insurance company, they are only suppose to replace the damaged part with the same part/style part.
if u go to a shady place that you think might hook you up with nice aftermarket stuff, they are probably the same ones that won't repair things correctly and use non-factory parts.
so, choose wisely.

The best way is to get the aftermarket body kits directly from the sellers (either the manufacturers themselves or aftermarket online stores)...shipped to your house. Then, go around different body shops and ask for a quote.
I've had my Saleen rear bumper painted by C,G &E in Redwood City. Ask for Joe or Juan and tell them Percy sent you. Their number is (650) 369-7991. They used the stock Ford silver paint and matched it really well. Humble and honest mexican guys...seriously!

Stevens Creek Dodge in Santa Clara ...
A friend retiring from the business told me about them, and taking my E420 there for detailing and clean up of all the "minor" items it had after 93k miles was the best $350 I ever spent (I asked top $ and got it, which helped pay for my CLK55).
I have also seen their work on major projects, and it all looks to be consistently good.
FYI, the body shop is near the back side of the San Jose airport, not on Stevens Creek Blvd.

I HIGHLY recommend Weatherford BMW's bodyshop in Oakland. although they primarily service BEEMERS (Yuck!) they treted me like a king and pampered my Benz like a baby! The work was like glass.
