Help with CODES

Hello Members,

I have a 98 clk320 w/ about 79k and today all these lights came on the dash. ASR/BAS, ABS, and Check Engine. So I went to Advance Auto Parts to have them read the codes out. There were 5 codes that came out.

PO500 VEH SPEED SENSOR MALFUNCTION
PO0400 EGR FLOW MALFUNCTION
PO460 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
PO130 O2 SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION (BANK 1 SENSOR 1)
PO700 TRANSMISSON CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION

I was wondering if any of you guys know what these codes are? Can I DIY? And how much would the parts be? If not, how much do you guys think this will cost at the STEALERSHIP or a local mechanic?

Thanks in advances,
Tony

just went to a local mechanic, they priced me at $450 for all parts and labor? Is this a good price?

Will they be able to clear the codes?
I had the speed sensor(wheel sensor) pop up on me and it cost
$300+something just for that.

wow that much for a speed sensor, i had the front right replaced for like 130 included parts and labor, even though it looked really simple.

As for the codes, im pretty sure they'll be cleared. If everything is fixed (correct me if im wrong). Do you guys think I will be able to do any of these on my own?

The reason for the price of the speed sensor being so high, could be that the speed sensor is in the wheel bearing. If it isnt, then it is a simple procedure of just replacing the sensor which is typically held in with one bolt. If you do replace it yourself, i will warn you to soak the bolt very well. If the bolt breaks it will become a big project to extract the broken bolt. The speed sensor code could be the source of your tansmission code.

You dont have to go to the stealership for that reason. Any shop can repair it, its a fairly standard job thats basicly the same from car to car.

I think it's odd that all of these codes have popped up simoultaneously. Equally odd is the fact that all of those lights came on at the same time/day. Were ANY of these warning lamps (ASR/BAS, ABS, and Check Engine) on before the day in question? If not, then...hmm....
Here's the thing...$400 sounds inexpensive (and with these cars...IT IS!). However, I'd almost gaurantee that the mechanic is NOT changing out all of the stated sensors to clear the codes for $400.
I believe what's happening is, the mechanic knows that all of these codes are related to ONE thing and after that is changed out, then all of the codes will clear.
So, if you simply just want the codes cleared, go for it. If you want a honest repair, I doubt this is it.
Maybe some others here can chime in but I know a Mass Air Flow sensor (which will trigger a check engine light) costs $300+ for the part alone.

What parts is the mechanic saying he is going to change for $450?
VEH SPEED SENSOR
EGR FLOW
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
O2 SENSOR
TRANSMISSON CONTROL SYSTEM

Is it for these 5 sensors? Again, I doubt if all these sensors are bad. It's something down/upstream sending false signal(s) to these systems. He should tell you what that is. 5 sensors AND labor for $450? Hmm...
