Hi guys,
I was planing to get F1 fenders from the same company that Blackbenz bought his from, but when I talked to my body shop they told me that I will have to paint the hood and the doors to make them match also they said it won't fit well specially in the area close to the head lights because there are no holders in the after market fenders!!
what do you think!

hes partially right... if your going to paint the fenders.. you must "blend" the paint to the hood and door. or else it wont match. the color of the car plays a big factor as well.. sometimes depending on year, condition and also the bodyshop you take it to. blending may sometimes not needed. hope that helps

what if i wanted to paint that strip that runs all along the middle of the car (runs along the bumpers, doors, fenders, and etc) would the entire car need to be painted also? what would be the optimal time to get your car painted? thanks

Since the strips are not very large, you wouldn't have to color match in the same way. (They wouldn't be as noticeable as fender that wasn't "blended" correctly) I guess an ideal time to get a car painted is when insurance is involved. The body shop will usually paint miscellaneous parts for free with the left over paint.
