245's all the way around
On my clk430 is it bad to run 245's on the front and rear? It has the staggert setup. We took it in for an oil change and the dealer commented that the car had the wrong size tires up front. Even the tire shop made a big deal about it.

well, what size wheels do you have?
Also, keep in mind that you have a rear-wheel-drive car. The stock set-up is already staggered, so unless you want to be EXTRA ECONOMICAL, you don't want to put the same sized tires front and rear.

Yeah I understand all that. Aren't the stock tires are supposed to be 235/40 up front and 245/40 in the back? I guess what I'm asking is why is it a big deal to run 245s all around?

i believe the stock set up is 225 front and 245 rear. Even when I went with a 19" staggered set up, I kept it 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. You don't have much room up front to accomodate a 245 very easily.
