No such thing.

ALL CLK430's came with the AMG appearance package, and a mildly tuned AMG suspension package. None were AMG and none were badged.

Those are the controls for the contour seats or whatever they call them. They are standard on CLK 55s

I have those in mine. They control 3 air bladders for lumbar support in the back and 1 is in the front of the seats which supports the thigh area. The original owner opted for those and the phone package vs the xenon and heated seat package.

What's worse, it's an analog phone. It no longer rides with me.

Have those on my 2000 CLK 430 too.

the lumbar functions were an option on W208 CLK430s, not standard equipment.

I got the heated seats/Xenon option and can't complain!

The AMG badge seems to be an excuse to sell the car for an over-inflated price.

Mine came with a AMG badge but we all know the deal. It's just that, a badge and not a 'true' AMG car which, of course, would be a CLK55. Nice car!

I'm actually convinced that there are just as many 430's WITH amg badges as without.

I saw 3 in town this week. Nearly 50% of people that have bought them have said someone stuck one on there before they bought it.

It's apparently so common that it's pretty much expected. Not like one or two running around like a ricer with off car badges, but more like a huge number of 430's with the badge to match the kit.

I guess it's not too far off from the cars such as 3 series BMW's running the AC Schnitzer body kit or the Lexus IS300 running the Rod Millen kit. They both get badged regardless of the engine. At least the 430 has a mild AMG suspension on it also, so it's more complete than just a body.

Still, I run badgeless .
