Wrecked 300SD, time to buy a new car, convince me that it should be 208
Hello,
I recently graduated from college, and moved to Northern Virginia/ DC Metro area for work. My favorite car had always been my 126 300SD, but I left that at home and took a gas Volvo when I moved up here (need more power when merging into massive traffic around here). Anyways, my Mother was driving my car around my home town when she ran into the back of an SUV, doing more damage than the car was worth.
Long story short, she needs her Volvo back for a daily driver (430 Convertible isn't her idea of a winter vehicle). So now its time for me to buy a new (used) car.
After growing up with two 126s, I am really partial to the MB brand, but am pretty nervous about getting into a newer benz based on their quality issues. I notice the w211's are coming down in price now that the first gen 2003's are coming off their leases, so I'm pretty interested in those. I basically have three MB's that i'd be actively considering to purchase, and those are the :
W210 2000-2002
W211 2003
W208 2000-2002
Non MB
E39 BMW 5 Series 2001-2003
Acura TL 2004
Infiniti G35 2003-2004
Any recommendations about those models or any others you think I should be considering? I'm thinking about a 22-23 K limit (I know, squeezing in some pretty recent models in a cheap price range...)
Please help convince me one way or the other...
Thanks in Advance

CLK 430 Coupe
W211 or 208 . you'll like them both the most in my opinion. a buddy of mine bought a 5 series as a daily driver and sold it 2 months later..... stick with the MB

In my opinion...
The Acura TL is a very boring car... it's just totally uninspiring. A friend of my brother's sold his because it was too boring and got into an X3..
I drove a TL and while it was a VERy NICE car, it was also why it was borinng..
I test drove an E39 540i as well. 6-speed, nav, etc. Kind of a boring ride too even tho the 6-speed box is VERY pleasurable to operate...
Out of those, I'd look at the AMG CLKs, V8 W211s, and the G35 (lots of car for the money)
What about a used E46 M3, or an Audi S4 B5 (BiTurbo V6!!)
