I like these lettuce graters much better than those cheese graters mentioned elsewhere. However, since my xenons seem to light up the road I'm dropping that cash into horsepower.

I gotta say, he was SUPPLYING AND INSTALLING for $1300. sounds like you just want to install em for 1100 *laff*. I can handle that.
When they had my hood popped, they had em sitting right on top of the old ones (hazed over) when I went out onto the shop floor. They knew I liked them joints but I gotta vacation (in Dec.) to finance. But when I get back, I could be on the hook though....

I feel ya man. I DO like these mugs tho. My headlight lens is all hazed over and I hate it. Somebody (BMer guy) has the same problem and he bought a kit to rub the haze off. He said it works 'ok' but it's a LOT of work. My cousin who restores old cars, told me brake fluid (!) does the same as those kits.

Oh no. These are for the 208s. Funny how he had em handy....*laff*. Don't know if they were Xenon. All I heard was $1300 and I was like 'I'll get back to you. I got some other things to work out first' (MAF, bumper/paint and sound system).

since you're in a position to view these, ask for live demo of the beam and
especially view this pattern on the wall. these are aftermarket lights and
for that price, very probably HID kits fitted into that halogen projector.

my concerns would be....

- poor beam pattern
- possibly uncontrolled glare
- I seem to think that it's not H7 bulb but smaller H1 or H3 or something
- chances are it is a HID bulb, franken-fitted to the halogen base. HID kits are
marketed as 'one-size-fits-all' and may be a poor match to the Eagle Eye
projector (my guess is the headlight is same Taiwan manuf for Eagle Eye)
- aftermarket ballast, so unknown the quality....which will likely trigger "bulb
malfunction" on your display panel

If you're assessment of the beam quality is good, then it 'may' be a decent
value for the money.

Note that for that price (and more likely cheaper by several hundred if you
install yourself) one can pull the halogen projector and fit in a true HID
spec OEM projector, as well as genuine OEM Phillips D2S bulb, as well as
bona fide Hella gen3 ballast.

good luck with your upgrade.

I definitely wouldn't do it if they weren't Xenon. i've owned cars with poor headlight beams and Raymond G has valid concerns. I would make sure they turn them on and give you a demo before you make any decisions.

and yes the lettuce graters are much better than the cheese graters, i'd probably buy a set if it weren't so close to the holidays.

These projectors aren't to bad at all I wouldn't mind buying these if they where in the usually projector price range. I can't see myself paying $1300 for some projectors when that's going price for Bi-Xenons on other benz models.
