installed 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 with problems

installed 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 with problems
after searching the site I decided to run the recommended tire size. I have a staggered set up on my 2000 clk, the fit is very close to rubbing I had to cut away some of the inner fender . now every time i turn especially to the left, the car hops like the wheel is going to fall off. also I had my sister and my girlfriend with a total weight of 230lbs in the car, and the car was rubbing like crazy. I dont know if I have a camber problem now. I would still like to lower it but dont see how I could. I just spent about 3500 on rims and tires and am ready to take them off. any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

if you are rubbing w/ 235 front and 265 rears on a stock suspension, the only thing that would make sense would be that your shop ordered you the incorrect offset.
I have the same exact tire set up on my car, however, I am running H&R sports/ Bilstein sports and 1 dot pads front and rear, and I am NOT rubbing at all....not even on the inner fender on a sharp U-turn.
Where did you get the rims from? Did you pick up a used set, and if you did, what car did they come off from?
The brand of tire does make a small difference (by the roundness or squareness of the sidewall edge), but from the way you explain it, I don't think it is a tire brand problem.

I am using the same set up and that's the correct one. 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R... If my memory serves me correctly, the correct offset is +35F and +30R... I had Dunlop SP9000 and it served me very well... no rubbing for most parts except when I hit a big bump, but that's about it... I replaced the fronts with Falken FK451 and it surely rubs more than before especially on rather tight turns...
If you have the correct offset and tire sizes, you shouldn't have any rubbing problems even without your fenders rolled.

I have to agree with clkal, almost everyone with 19's run those tires, and if you are rubbing with stock suspension, then your shop ordered you a set they probably fits on a newer clk or e-class. My clk is friggin low, and it doesnt rub, although with tires that have a more squared profile like clkal said, my rear do rub, so i use falkens with a more rounded sidewall profile and it no longer rubs, michellins wont work for my rears due to that very squared off sidewall

So, that exact item will work for the rear? Do I need to worry about the "center bore" number.

Does anyone know if running the incorrect tire size in the rear will cause the rear differential to make noises?
Here's my situation:
Running Axis Milano on a CLK 430 - 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 Rears with 35 mm offsets on all 4 wheels with Kumho Ecsta SPTs:
- Front 235 35 19 which is the correct size - no issues with them installed.
- Rear 245 35 19 which isn't the ideal size of 265 30 19. - With the 245 35 19s installed, I'm hearing a clicking noise when driving slowly. I don't know if it's a spacer issue since the rims in the rear are 35mm offset and the AMG wheels that came with the car were 30MM offset. If it's a spacer issue, do I need a 5MM Hubcentric one or since it's only 5mm, don't bother with hub centric?
I took one of the rear wheels off and did not notice any severe rubbing.
So, I've narrowed it down to either 5mm spacers or incorrect rear tires.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is the 265 30 19 that big of a difference that 245 35 19s would cause differential issues???
The wheels look great on the car, but I'm afraid to drive it right now.
By the way, some Kmho Ecsta owners have reported that running 265 30 19 have sight rubbing issues due to the roundness of the Kumhos on MBs.

I'm going to check that tonight. Someone on another thread mentioned that it may be the parking brake spring making contact with one or more of my lugs.
I'm guessing that it's the locking wheel nut as I remember that one being noticeably longer.

It was the locking wheel lug. 2 were shorter at 0.875 of an inch which are supposed to be for the rear and the longer ones at 1.125 inches are for the fronts. I didn't know that there was a difference. But the noise is all gone.
