I'm interested in buying an exhaust for my 02' 430, does anyone have any recomendations for a particular brand of exhaust, in regards to sound and performance? Any tips?.

eisenmann race exhaust, 2x83 mm tips, stainless, i love the deep throaty sound it produces, tips could be better, but i wouldnt trade anything for the sound. cant beat the price either. check bekkers, eisenhaus.com, or i think evosport still sells them too.

in that case, go with evosport, eisenhaus jacked their prices up like $100 for no reason a couple months ago.

Exhaust

The Lorinser one looks pretty good. It requires that I cut the bumper though, the rear lorinser bumper looks pretty good too.

Thanks for the input.

i had a remus exhaust on my car before my eisenmann, so yes they do make exhausts for the CLK, both 320 and 430. I personally had the sport exhaust, and it was just too quiet for me, i wanted something with a little more rumble. i think they make different styles that are louder though.

yes the remus sport exhaust is not overly loud. but personally it think it sounds perfect. deep and throuty when it should be and not loud when it shouldent be.

yeah, remus is a good exhaust, i liked it, looked great, sound was better than stock, but after a while i just decided i wanted something a little louder, but if you dont want too much louder than stock, remus is great muffler for a good price. i guess the eisenmann race exhaust and wanting something a little louder can be attributed to my youth, im still one of those crazy teenagers with a loud car. but ive never had anyone tell me that the sound was too much for a Mercedes, ive got nothing but compliments and i personally love turning my music off and listening to my car when im driving around.

actually jeremy, im at school at the University of the South, in Sewanee, TN, so asheville actually isnt that far out of my way on the way home, we could always set it up for me to come by on my way back for say, Christmas (because all my breaks before then are so short ill be rushing home if i go home at all). we can talk more about it later if you would like, i am interested in seeing your intake, your little life companion (haha, and whatever younger female kin she may have), and have a little driving fun.

I just ordered my Remus Futura Exhaust today, have to wait 1 week.... looks great on the catalog, hopefully it will look good on my car.

By the way, I paid $580 for it, is that about average price?

LowRydeR, I did not know Magna FLow made asystem for our cars, did you bulit your own with a universal muffler?

If you did, did you increase the pipe size? Is it a good idea to increase the pipe size? Will I loose too much back pressure and in turn loose power?

Thnaks.
