Opions please

Can someone give me an idea or a pic on how this rim would fit on a clk320(208). Paint shop pro's welcome! The car is silver in color and belongs to a lady friend of mine, so with that being said I like to keep it somewhat oem.

I have the option of the 17’s or 18’s, but what are my wheel option for 18 inch staggered.

I think I have the 17 inch correct:
For the rear, OE is 245/40 17
For the front, OE is 225/45 17
Can someone give me an idea or a pic on how this rim would fit on a clk320(208). The car is silver in color and belongs to a lady friend of mine, so with that being said I'd like to keep it somewhat oem. Will the 17 be too smallor what? She is a sexy/classy lady and want to keep it somewhat simple, but appealing. She thinks my 20’s are too “robust”

17's might be a little small (just like stock). 18 is comfortable. 19 is best to me. 20 is blingin, esp w/ chrome. I wouldn't suggest chrome, but that's my opinion.

Best of luck finding a photoshop friend. I tried requesting pics of a car w/ some wheels I liked and said photoshoppers welcome and got no response, heh

Opinion: 17 or 18 in chrome will look like you are extremely cheap and that was the biggest wheel you could afford. I would suggest going with a highly polished silver, especially if you are doing such small wheels. 19s are probably ideal, and really the only chromes that look decent are 20" in my opinion, but that is really hard to do correctly... Hope that helps some!

A Counter Opinion

Since you mention that the car is for a lady friend I am going to assume that she is not interested in a harsh or noisy ride, if this is not true then go with 18s or even 19s.

The W208 CLK320 came with 16s stock and at that time the 430 and the AMG 55 came with 17s. So if you want to keep an OEM look and a nice ride go for 17s, 18s are not bad, the 19s are noisy and harsh compared to 16s or 17s. Also you have a much more limited selection of tires on 19s and they can be incredibly expensive.

I have 17s on my Benz, it is lowered about 0.75 inches with Eibach springs and Koni shocks, handling is much better than stock and it is still a nice ride when I have to eat the miles on the highway. I have 19s on my Porsche and one of my friends (female) comments that she prefers the ride in the Benz even though the handling is vastly better in the Porsche.

exactly! Thank you. It is for a lady and she doesn't want that big rim/noisy ride. She read your post and agreed. She wants the car classy looking with chrome not silver. Thanks for all the responses
