A Must Have for DIY! Repairs & Diag.
Don't know if this has already been posted - but this is a huge (5000+pg) WIS equivalent online Adobe file(only more clearly written) for the Crossfire. Very few diagnostic or part differences for our powertrain and electronics. Also makes matching Chrysler parts easy to identify - and the Chyrysler dealer, at least here, has a much bigger parts inventory at less than 1/2 the price. All the fluid specs Mercedes is so secretive about are fully explained here, as well as full diagnostic and repair instructions. I have been using Alldata and EPC, but this is much better. Check it out.
(Moderator - Do think this link should be a sticky in the DIY thread? I know some of us aren't exactly thrilled by the Crossfire/208 CLK relationship, but this is still a valuable tool)

Imitation is flattery. They must have liked the design enough to keep it going.

That makes me wonder if Crossfires experience the insane electrical issues the 208s do. Hmm....

It took me almost three weeks, but the work I did would easily have cost twice what my car is worth (no exaggeration), the electrical alone wold have run at least $4500. Except for a few bolts and some solder - and the tools I can't find because I threw a lot of them across the garage every time I found out I wasted 3 hours, it cost me zero. I'm guessing that I spent around $600 total in parts - and that was for motor mounts, two trans filters, 16 quarts of trans. fluid, a bunch of bushings, 4 wheel bearings, 4 pads, two rotors. This includes the $150 I spent on stuff that I broke because I didn't know the proper removal procedure and was too lazy to come inside to look it up.
