Purchase Process
I just finished the purchase process:
(1) Go to: http://www.oempartsdirect.com/index.php
(2) Find Section 2 entitled, "Search by Factory Part Number"; then
(3) Under this section, click on the button called "Multiple Part Number Search"
(4) On line 1, enter part #2117663606 for the KEY STANDARD and select Mercedes-Benz.
(5) On line 2, enter part #2037665006 for the BLADE SMART Key and select Mercedes-Benz.
(6) Hit the "Get Parts" button.
(7) Hit "Add to Cart" button.
(8) Hit "Check-Out" button and then fill out billing and shipping information. Note that in the final process you will have to enter the VIN.
(9) Cost was $61.58 shipped ground. You can pay for faster shipping.
(10) You will receive an "Order Comment" email from Jaimie Pickard requesting a copy via email or fax (540-777-3034) of your registration and driver's license. I scanned and emailed them back to Jamie- Jamie.pickard@hammersley.com.

Ok guys, I am interested in purchasing this key but I am little hesitant about the fact that the key will work, because I know for a fact that a key has to come directly from the manufacturer that has to program it, both smart blade and the key. The price sounds too good to be true because the key will be coming over from overseas. The first person to get the key besides AMGEEZY, please post some pictures and let me know if it works. Geezy no offense homs but I know how these things work sometimes. THX

You need to read the whole post. These keys come from a Mercedes dealer. Also check this thread. There is probably about 100 people who have gotten their key from them.

I am relaxed... I was just pointing out the fact that obviously I wasn't talking about Edmonton being overseas man And all asked for is a picture of the key when someone gets it and a comment from a person who is credible in my opinion. Where I come from if something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Aight?!

Well I just ordered it too. I'm assuming others will post before me but if you're looking for credible and no one responds before I get mine then I'll let you know.

What is really needed is the VIN number. There's a code associated with each key fob. This is how they match up the new key. When you send them the registration, this proves OWNERSHIP (in conjunction with a DL) and also has the VIN on it. I had my trunk lock switched and my mechanic explained this process to me. This goes for any key replacement. Mine only came with one key so this is great news. Thanks Geezy!

You see the problem when you called your dealership was...You asked them to look up a key for you. You went about it all wrong. You should call your parts guy and say "If I give you a part #, can you tell me how much it is??" Then he'll tell you $59.99. That is guaranteed. But the minute you tell him it's a key, he'll add the 9999 and the price jumps to $200.00. But as long as you just give him the part#'s I gave, the price is 59.99 guaranteed. Every Mercedes Parts Computer gives the same price. Then each individual store decides if they want to charge extra. But the minute you told him it was a key, he decided to screw you. Did you check the link I gave you from the w203 forum, there is at least 100 people who have ordered this key from oempartsdirect. I know when I got my key from my dealership, he told me that there were 72 in stock in Texas. But when he added 9999 to the end, he said there were over 2000. So if you snooze, you might lose. I've tried to help as much as possible. Good Luck to you.
