What The Hell Is This?

I was just toying around with the idea of supercharging or turbo charging my car and I came accross this made in Taiwan ****.

Does it work?
Has anyone bought this crap? I'm guilty of being very curious to know what would happen.

Check out the link please:

NOT that I would buy one of these things, but I bet it does probably give

you 15-20 WHP or so. There's even a video on streetfire where a leaf blower

gave a honda civic 13 WHP or so and it's right there on the dyno. Try it out

if you have some spare cash and dyno it.

Won't give you the airflow you need

People have scamming these things for years now. They have been connecting cheap plastic bilge pumps from boats and selling these as "electric superchargers." Check on your car's maximum air requirements under full throttle and you will find that you need more than 250 cfm of air at full rpm to make max power. What will happen is this injected molded plastic piece of **** will restrict your airflow at WOT, and could possibly break apart and send small plastic pieces into your engine. I can guarantee that you won't see 0.5 PSI from this unit. Electric units that push 1+ psi require far more than 12 volts in order to work. If you really want to step it up and run a real FI, go with a Kleeman setup or give House of Power a call and get the Vortech centrifugal setup. Leave these kits to the ricers. Just my $0.02...

The BOV thing on eBay is nothing more than a whistle that is installed in your muffler tip that makes a noise similar to a turbo spooling up, it doesn't mimic a BOV venting pressure at all. Another ricer toy.....

Dont waste your money. These things have been tested on dyno's in private shops multiple times. I actually witnessed it lower HP on a 05 corvette.
