Locking trunk to keep out valet

I'm trying to lock my trunk so that it can only be opened with the metal key (not the electronic key). In the manual for my '01 cab, it says to use the thin metal key to lock the trunk by turning the lock 90 degrees to the right. My key will only turn the lock 45 degrees to the right and doing so does not prevent using the electronic key to access the trunk. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.
