lowering suspension...

I am thinking of purchasing Bilstein sport shocks and Vogtland lowering springs for my 99 clk...i have 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 rims...i was wndering if anyone would suggest wht number and wht type of pads i should get for a nice look without any rubbing? at first i was thinking #1 all around, now im thinking eclass#1 in front and clk#2 in rear? any inputs would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

I have bilestein sport shocks all the around, with h&r springs. I have 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear. I have #1 pads in the front and #2 in the rear. Car sits perfect, no gap between tire and fender. You can go with #1 pad all the way around, I had that setup on my other CLK, it will not rub or anything, but the back will be lower than the front.

I wouldn't put 1's in the rear. mine has 4 now (but w/ 255 tires) and it's not bad. I might put a 2 in when I put 265's on it next time around.

talkin about lowering - i lowered my car recently on h&r, going to put #1 in d front n #2 pads at d back. Are there any shocks which will make the ride less harsh?
