Smoked out rear tail lights
has anybody smoked out the white section of their rear tail lights recently ( to look like W210 E55 tail lights)? I'm thinking of doing it, however, I would want to ask someone that has already done this, how long it lasts before it starts fading out.
pics would be great too, if anybody has any =)

Out Of Control!!
Old/crappy pic but it was the best I could find on my computer right now. I forgot to put clear coat on top so it peeled off after several months but if you put a couple coats of clear on top you will be fine. If you want to send them out to me I can get them done at a local shop where he actually bakes the lights and everything and it will never peel/fade. I plan on doing that soon too.

I did a write up on this awhile ago. You can see how it looks on my car. Actually, I just noticed a little bit starting to peel so I'm going to redo it this spring and maybe go just a shade darker. So I guess it's worked fine for about a year and a half or so.
