Question Wood Steering Wheel?

Hi guys,

I am seriously considering getting a dark maple birdseye woodsteering wheel from MB dealer. I have a 02 white CLK430 w/ black interior. The steering wheel is $850 plus installation, and wood shiftknob is $150. Is this a reasonable price?

My other concern is that the wood steering wheel might make the car look like an "old-man's" car. What do you guys think?

Thanks for all your feedbacks!

Try.. PerformanceProducts.com There shift knobs are $125 Wood and leather steering wheel$699 These people are good to do buisness with. First rate products. I have bought interior wood trim from them and the finish matches very well. They will also send you a catalog for your Mercedes if you would like.

I have that steering wheel in my car. It looks great but gets a little slippery if you are driving hard.

i like the feel and look of the wood/leather steering wheel. very classy, and i don't think it will play into the age factor

if so, a clk's target market is in the mid 40's, which that is not so the case with lots of the forum members here....

have you taken a look into the AMG steering wheel, slight difference from the regular CLK, and very nice. good grip

I have the same in my car and it looks nice! I've had several people comment on how much they like it. Go for it!
