Getting through the firewall
Ok bit the bullet and bought the M20 Extreme Laserjammer and going to install it. I need to find a way through the firewall. I did a quick look at it and did not see a easy way through. Any suggestions on which side and if there is a pass through.
Might as well ask too, I am going to mount the LED and on/off switch by the light switch, how does the face come off to drill the holes.

Yeah I saw that one, two things. First I am not wild about putting things next to the accelerator cable and the head of the wire has a RJ11 (phone plug) on the end so it is larger.

Found the Spot To Run Wires into Cabin From Engine Bay
Well, after looking in the engine bay, I found the spot to run wires directly into the cabin. It turns out there is a round black rubber plug to the left and down from the drivers side fuse box. Just pull it out and that is it. Nothing runs through this spot on my car. (I ran the wires for my shift light through this spot).
From the cabin, you must remove 4 or 5 screws that hold up the footwell top panel but that is easy. Once you pull the panel down you will see the hole into the engine bay where the rubber plug was removed. The hole is about 1" wide so there is plenty of room to run wires or hoses as needed.
You could also go through the bottom of the fuse box but there is no need to do so as it requires removing the fuses. This would take to much time.

Great! I will look tonight when I get home. My Mariner had the same thing a PERFECT unused plug that I popped out, made a small slit in the rubber and push the wire through. Put in in the hole and it was sealed as good as new. I love clean easy installs.
