One of you may have a computer virus
Over the past couple weeks I have been recieving a few email viruses. Since most of my emails come from people on the message boards, I would consider it safe to assume that one of you may have it. If you have emailed me within the past week, and not recieved a response please go here to have your computer scanned for viruses:

I'm pretty sure that I have not sent you an email directly, but nevertheless, I checked the Symantec web site you recommended and found that I had 2 infected files. This is even though I have McAfee's VirusShield installed and running in the background permanently. Just goes to show ...

Yup, its really interesting to see what virus scanners miss what virusses .. I do a bit of work for a company called messagelabs (www.messagelabs.com) and they run some serious centralised virus scanning towers where companies etc can route their inbound/outbound mail thru to be virus scanned.
They run 3 of the commercially available scanning engines (including Symantec, can't remember the other two at this time) and their own "learning AI like thing" called skeptic and have never let a virus through, but for certain different virus's are missed by different scanners thats why they run 3 of the well known virus scanning engines...
