Need to replace trans fluid. I prefer Redline oils. Is it Dexron ll or is it Dexron lll? I searched trans fluid threads. NO INFO. Anybody know FOR SURE what to replace?

I talked with Redline oil. Was told MB ran several different trans in CLK's but all in the same family using Dexron lll. Which is what what the purposely vague MB fluid is. Synthetic Dexron lll . No mystery. Just a manufacturer trying to maintain proprietary service and sales.

Dont they already charge crazy amounts for simple tune ups.
