Need salvage convertible top assembly
I need a salvage convertible top assembly with or without the canvas. We've made several repairs to the latch mechanism at the front, but they just aren't holding. I need part # 2087700026, specifically, but figured that if I bought an entire top assembly, I could cannibalize it for what I need in case something else breaks.
Anyone have one I could buy from you? Or do you know where I could find one?
I've done some searching via salvage yards that say that they have national parts locators, but that system is glitchy at best. Two of my finds have come up empty handed when I actually call the yard. There's always some yo-yo who wrote it down wrong or sold it under the wrong ID number.
I'm getting desparate, as the latch is broken now and I can't close the top any more. Dealer cost on this part is $800+.

Thanks Marcus! I just *KNEW* that there were salvage specialists out there. I will give them both a call right now. Wish me luck!
