How to tell if an AMG.
I am interested in a 2000 CLK 320 and the guy who is selling it says he thinks it is an AMG. It has the AMG wheels and emblem and even the metal decal on the dash board and it also says "sport" on the outside modling. My friend saw the engine and he says it doesnt look like an AMG engine though.
My questions is, is there a way for me to tell that it is for certain an AMG?
When I run a car fax on it all I get is....
Year/Make/Model: 2000 MERCEDES-BENZ CLK320
Body Style: COUPE
Engine Type: 3.2L V6 PFI SOHC 18V
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
The REAL AMG is a 5.5L engine..this is the only real way to tell the difference visually without running a carfax report. Tell him that it is definitely not an AMG. Sorry man

There is an amg sport package, usually on the clk430 (some people put them on the 320). Comes w/ AMG wheels and bodykit.
However, the 55, as greg said, is a big v8 engine with the same bodykit but slightly larger AMG wheels.
