Experiencing strange problems, transmission?
Hey guys,
I'm experiencing strange problems with the car. It doesn't accelerate as it used to. I thought the main problem was spark plugs. So I changed them + the wires. Did Service B maintenance too. My car seemed fine for about a week or 2. Felt like brand new too.
Now, when I push the pedal hard, I see the RPM's rising past 3k, but the speed is barely going, it's like the car is hesitating. It's taking a long time for it to react, then all of a sudden, maybe after 5 sec. it finally reacts and you speed off.
Next problem, after it finally accelerates and you lower the speed, the car sometimes shakes/gallops severely. I was a block away from home & decided to press hard on the gas pedal to see how it would react, barely gave me any throttle & when I arrived home, I put the car in reverse to park it & I swear it felt like my car was galloping.
Maybe once a day, when you're driving the car, it feels like it's galloping, esp. at low speeds or when you're at a dead stop.
What do you guys think the problem is?

I thought of either MAF or transmission. I read in my carfax report that the transmission was serviced before, so I got worried.
Also my check engine light goes off/on. When you accelerate & the car hesitates, the check engine light starts blinking for about 1 min. then finally stays on. Check engine light stays on for the next day or 2 & shuts off until the car hesitates again.
Tomorrow I'll be taking in the car to the shop hopefully.
