BAS - BRAKE ASSIST, visit workshop???

What the heck is (BAS) Brake Assist, Visit WorkShop? Can someone explain why this will come on from time to time? How do I fix this problem? My brakes work fine.

Ok Sorry guys, I just did a search and found everything that I was looking for.

Stop Lamp Switch for 99 CLK = part #1 001-545-01-09,
2000+ is #1 001-545-31-09. The switch is 16 bucks.

It's under the driver side dash, and you'll need a philips screw driver.

Wow, that is too funny. The stealership was trying to charge me 225 for the fix. No joke. I decided I would rather deal with it coming up intermittently and didn't get it fixed. Where can I get this part at and did you find a guide on how to replace it? Sorry I didn't think to search this here. If you have the link handy that would be great.
