CLK 320 Cabriolet
100k miles on my CLK
I'm just about to hit 100k miles on my 2001 CLK 320 cab. Calls to a few dealers result in different recommendations for the 100k service. Does anyone know what services should be performed at 100k? This will be the first time the engine was ever touched other that A and B serivces.

I don't know what your background is with your local Indy mechanics, but i recommend seeing them before the Stealership.
The dealer is going to "check" a bunch of stuff and charge you $$$$.... Call an Euro Indy.... see what they say.

Your better off...
From what a parts guy told me at the Manhattan dealership, Chander Auto in NYC specializes in MB's and they could probably give you a tune up for much less than the dealership.
Chander Auto Repair

Phone: (212) 243-0145
FYI - I never used them but I am solely telling you what this parts guy told me. Good luck and tell me if they are worth it.

Everything that prznskills said should be looked at . Also, I would also look at changing the gear oil in the rear diff. After 100K miles of driving, the fluid could use a change. Other considerations are changing the brake and power steering fluids and flushing the radiator.

I'll bet your steering shock is shot as well....(very cheap like 20 bucks) but makes a world of difference in the feel of your wheel. How's the engine look? Any leaks/seaps? I would imagine your valve cover gaskets are shot as well. Other than that....everything else is pretty much covered in this thread.....
