I have a 2000 CLK430. I need to know if the head unit has a headphone jack on it. I'm trying to hook my Alpine Blackbird navigation system to it. I don't want to buy the Alpine docking station because it's $200. But I do already have the cradle for it that includes a (crappy) fm transmitter feature.

Anyway, either way I need to know how to remove the head unit. I've removed several head units but I can't figure out how to get this one to pop out. Any tips?

Secondly, I was wondering how hard it is to install one of the sport grills on a CLK. I want to remove the emblem that sticks up on the hood and get a White Star badge. But in addition, I want the grill with the MB emblem in it.

Any help on either of these subjects would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have COMAND, you have the jack. If not, you don't.

To remove the radio, slip these two tools into the slots on the radio and it'll come right out.



They are about $10 at most places.
