i think there is a way to do it thru the trunk. isnt there a cover above the plate screwed to the trunk removable with philips screw driver??

I've done this couple times before, open your trunk, remove the cover on the trunk and you'll see the bulbs, take them out carefully and replace with the ones you want. I have the M28.
