2001 CLK 320 Cabriolet
new owner/new to forum
hey all... just bought a 2001 clk 320 cab w/70K miles. now that i've driven it a bit, it seems to ride kind of "spongy". could it be old shocks or suspension? i would think this car would be stiffer than it is.

I still find my CLK55 a bit soft compared to say.. a Corvette It just isn't an all out sports car I guess. I drove a brand new CLK500 Cabrio and I thought it was spongy too compared to the CLK55.
Maybe a set of stiffer & shorter springs + a set of Bilstein HD/Sport would help achieve a sportier ride?
Good luck

thanks for the advice. i had a bmw 328 convertible and i cant help but compare the 2 cars. i like a stiffer ride. i'm taking the car into the dealer later this week to have them do a thorough inspection. given the miles and age of the car i suspect i might need to replace something. hope its not too expensive!
