2000 CLK430 Sale Question

I have been thinking of selling my 2000 CLK430 for a couple months now in order to be able to get into a CLK55.

What would be a good asking price?

It has 99,500 miles and has just had a full tuneup with new iridium plugs. It also has the factory Navigation system with new 2007 cd's. I also bought the phone system and the Cheese grater headlights, amg pedals, refinished AMG rims, tinted windows, and a brand new steering wheel. The car has also had a new CPS sensor as well. Oh and it has the White star badge on as well that is about to be reconditioned.

I want to put it up for sale locally this weekend so any help can be appreciated.

"I have no idea" initially came to mind, but then greed took over. $25K. Someone's got to draw a line in the ground to bring prices back up, and we're starting with you. No one sells a CLK430 for under $20K. Period. That's the new rule. Written in stone. All mods will be added to the $20k base at full price PLUS a 10% installation fee. The only way the car can be lower is if one's been set on fire and driven off a cliff. But it had better be a BIG CLIFF. Everyone complains about depreciation, so we're going to do something about it. If you catch anyone undercutting the $20K limit, post a picture of the car. Whomever lives closest can set it on fire and push it over a cliff . . . . . . with the low-ball seller in the trunk.

If no one sells these cars for ridiculously cheap prices we'll all be happy. Of course, when you get ready to buy that 55 . . . . . . . . .

Best wishes with the sale. Even better wishes on the 55.

LMAO !!!! I wish I had seen this before I posted my car in the classifieds!!

DAMN NADA has my car too damn low so its now going for 16,500 with all mods. Oh well I want that 55 bad..I already have the financing for it but I can not afford 3 car payments at once and if for some reason the 430 takes months to sell then ..well I just cant do it. Hopefully my car will sell soon. If someone wants to lowball then forget it..I will just cruise the 430 a little longer then.

OH AND PLEASE DONT THROW ME OFF THAT CLIFF just yet!! LOL

i can definitely appreciate what marcus says about holding the depreciation line....byip on this board, a friend of mine, just sold his 99 clk 430 with 90K and was one owner, non smoker, with a full alpine system and brabus rims and HR springs with an AMG exhaust with the extended starmarked warranty for $11,500...that was cheap, but it got it sold in 2 weeks tho

Damn.....I think I am sticking to 15,500 or maybe 15,000 and if it doesnt sell then having a 55 just isnt for me at this time.

Oh well I still enjoy this car...maybe I will do an engine / tranny swap down the road instead then?

I really didn't think that there wouldn't be a market for this car though
