wood finished steering wheel question

I do like the look of the wood inserts on some Merc wheels. I noticed this on ebay and wondered is it a gimmick or a feasible way for the wood look. Apparently it slips over the standard wheel from what i gather. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/wood-steering-...QQcmdZViewItem
So gentlemen what are the options for wood insert wheels?

definitely agree. looks cheap and tacky, if you want the wood trim, I would get the real MB steering wheel. It'll last a lot longer.

Real MB wood and leather steering wheels are worth it. Very satisfying to drive. This is the MMI. Spend the money.
