BMW 645i Manual Transmission

Anyone know how much better or worse a manual tranny is on a 645i? Just curious to know because I have my eye on one but I don't think if the choice to do it would be the best right now. It just seems like it would be a hell of a car if it's a manual V8. I didn't know they came with a manual tranny option.
