Xenon Retrofit Completed
Hey guys...I bought a set of wrecked xenons off ebay a couple months ago for $300 shipped. The mounting tabs were broken beyond repair, so I took my halogen headlights out and stripped them both down (baked them to take the cover off, then completely disassembled them), and basically reinstalled all the wiring and components and lenses of the xenon setup into my stock housing. I needed to make 4 cuts to make them work (b/c the ballast wires run from the outside of the housing to the inside and I needed holes for the wiring).
Anyways, it was a pretty annoying process...took about 8 hrs, but they're installed now and look great. Now I need to go get my LED city lights and side markers. But now that they're installed, I get the bulb out warning. Does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues with the 99 harness and hte xenon lights? They work well, except the fogs sometimes don't want to come on without selecting them twice. Maybe it's an initial bug and the computer will adapt and stop giving me the error?
Also, I have TONS of leftover headlight parts if anyone needs them, pm me:
-Xenon auto leveling motors (2)
-Twist on bulb covers on the back (2 hi and 2 low)
-Halogen lenses (in great shape, no dirtiness, 2)
-reflector chrome pieces that the bulbs sit in (2)
-reflector chrome pieces for blinker bulb (2)
-inner rings for high and low beam (2 hi 2 low)
-broken tabs xenon housing (2)
-Interior bulb wiring for halogen setup (2)

Haha...these are only factory xenons...no crazy projectors or bi-xenons. BUT...i will post pics when i can. I'd like to install my LED city lights first. But, for now, here's a teaser pic (from before I fit them, just to make sure they worked)

BTW...I may not have a problem w/ the different headlights. Last night I noticed my side marker bulb had gone out. This weekend I'm planning on putting in LEDs w/ load equalizers. We'll see if that does the trick! Then I'll take some good pics
