You dont have to have the resonator removed if you dont want to BUT some people here have had it removed for a deeper sound. I thought it was deep and throaty enough so I didnt have mine removed. All the shop did was cut the old muffler pipe off and weld the new one on.

The shop that took the Eisenmann off kept asking me why I would take it off for the factory one. I just told them that I was tired of the sound. The guy looked at me crazy and said it sounded sweet to him.

There is no power difference at all but most that have taken the resonator off do say that there is a deeper sound. The exhaust cost me 60 to take off!!!! So it should be around that price just for the exhaust swap. You should be able to find a cheaper price in Orlando though cause all I could find quickly yesterday was freakin Meineke. Just go to an independent shop and hopefully it will be around 40 or so. As far as the resonator goes...it would be better to do a search as I am not sure about the removal process. I think you should listen to the exhaust first and then decide if its not deep enough for you.
