Haynes or similar
Heya.
I was looking for a Haynes book or similar for the CLK 320 '98.
I found some websites adverticing repair manuals for 150+ USD, with included electronic thingiemagic.
Can any of you guys recommend a repair manual?

I highly recommend what I consider to be THE BEST CLK manual on the market: The Mercedes Benz CLK Service CD. If I remember correctly, I got mine directly from Mercedes-Benz for $60. That $60 CD may be the same as the $150 CD you've seen for sale. Call Mercedes-Benz USA at 1-800-FOR-MERCedes (367-6372) and ask for a "CLK Service CD". They'll warn you that it's not returnable, it only works in a Windows environment, and a DVD reader is required. After giving them a credit card, you'll have a CD within a week. The service CD is an electronic version of a Haynes manual, and it's very simple to use.
Using powers which allow me to discern the obvious:
If you're ordering a service CD, you’re probably going to do some work yourself. If you're going to do some work yourself, you'll probably buy parts (I told you it was obvious). The least expensive way of buying dealer parts is to use a Mercedes-Benz Club of America discount. With the discount, many dealer parts are less expensive than the aftermarket equivalent. The discounts I receive are a lot more than the Mercedes-Benz Club of America dues.
Lastly, I've never seen a Haynes manual for a CLK. I'm not saying they don't exist, just that "I've" never seen one. According to the Haynes website, the latest Mercedes-Benz manual they produce is for the 1988 190.

Thanks, I'll try to see how I can get my hands on that official CD.
I haven't been able to find a Haynes for the car either, but there are some other compagnies that makes something similar, but it's nice to hear that the official one is the best.
I live in europe, so I'm not quite sure I'd be validated for an American MB club, but I'll see what options I have.
