Considering trading in 430
Sorry if this is OT but I'm considering trading in my 430 and getting a Viper. The 430 is a 2001 but purchased in Oct. 2000 and has 23K miles. Don't remember all the option names but it has a Timeport w/ voice, cd changer, rain sensor windshield wiper. No command, no xenon, no heated seats.
Without having seen the car (they're 3 hours away) and assuming it's in excellent condition (which it is), they're offering me $36,300 trade-in. I looked around on eBay to get an idea of what people are selling them for and it's a little depressing... I would've thought my car was worth more. Edmunds claims it's worth 39K trade-in but they tend to be a little high. I know I could get more if I sold it myself but I don't have the time due to work... I'm not even sure I've got the time to drive several hours to trade in the car. Is the offer anywhere close to fair?
The Viper is a 2000 GTS ACR. I love my benz but I really do miss a stick-shift. Now I don't really know much about Vipers. Are they a maintenance nightmare? What about cost of upkeep? Sorry for the questions but this is the only auto board I follow. TIA.
